What loving entity wants his son/himself to be tortured to death, even if it is for the greater good? What kind of messed up entity designs a plan for their child/themself to be tortured to death, even if it is for the greater good?

For now, let’s consider the analogy. God is light. Humans want light in their dark basements, but they want to control the light with blinds. They want to ensure they can see the light without being seen. Do they treat God the same way?

Despite the usefulness of dualistic thinking in speeding up daily decision making, as beings capable of creative thought, there is also value in intentionally identifying the binary and looking for a third way.

It was something about praying for America. There was a time in my life when I would feel like I was a secret cousin to whoever put up that sticker. We’re both Christians! Now, stickers like that make my gut clench.
